HERON PRESTON SPEAKS ON REGAINING CONTROL OF HIS COMPANY FROM NEW GUARDS GROUP(2025)

I interviewed Heron Preston years ago, and while he likely doesn’t remember, one thing was clear even then: his commitment to creative control. Whether it was his fluid approach to collections or his iconic Tupac boot drop, he’s always had a unique vision. It’s exciting to see him back at the helm of his brand, fully in control of his creative direction. His recent manifesto, shared on his Instagram story (12.7.25), only reaffirms that. Coca-Cola’s Red Hot Olympic Summer (1996) Promo

Here’s a vibrant slice of ’90s nostalgia a Coca-Cola promotional ad for their Red Hot Olympic Summer campaign tied to the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. With wild caricature art and high-energy vibes, this ad captures the excitement of summer games and classic Coke. The pitch? Twist the cap for a shot at instant prizes like Coke gear, Olympic merchandise, or discounts at Foot Locker. It’s all about winning whether you sprint, jump, swim, shoot… or just twist. A perfect example of how brands brought Olympic fever to the soda aisle. For more artifacts, seek the GALLLERY

Phillip T. Annand for Arena Catalogue

New York Graphic Designer/Designer and over all creative Phillip T. Annand had an amazing online zine from around 2016-2018 called Arena Catalog. You may remember him and his collective from Madbury Club or from the current project High Wizadry. I used to go to his zine and check out him and crew chronicling vintage 80’s/90’s vintage north face, acg and more. Sooooo many amazing pictures and pieces. For more artifacts, go to the GALLLERY
